Welcome to The Teach In Canada Program

We provide support to Caribbean Teachers who have completed professional training outside of Canada may be eligible to apply for a teaching certification.

About Teach in Canada Program

Our Philosophy

At Red Leaf, we are passionate about providing high-quality regulatory assistant for professional educated teachers. The program was design to support Caribbean Teachers who holds a Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Education, have completed a practicum and have worked within the Education field for a minimum 1 year. Teachers that meet this requirement will have the opportunity to apply for Teaching Certificate in Canada. Program timeline is 6-9 months. 

Program Details

The Canada Teacher Regulatory Program takes teachers through a series of regulatory steps such as:

  • Credential Assessment Report: This report is conducted by the World Education Service (WES), a tailored assessment of your credentials and will collect and authenticate documents and validate information and documentation related to the certification process. 
  • Language Proficiency: Proof of language proficiency ensures that teachers are able to communicate effectively in all modes (speaking, reading, listening and writing) in English or French prior to entering the classroom. 
  • Teaching Territorial Regulatory Bodies: Carib Student will support the required documents based on the selected territory. The following provinces or territories: British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Northwest Territories, Nova Scotia, Nunavut, Alberta, Ontario, Prince Edward Island and Saskatchewan.


Program Financial Obligation: Teachers interested in obtaining the Teaching Certificate must understand the financial obligation of the program, here is a list of fees to expect throughout the program but not limited to:

  • Credential Assessment: $450CAD
  • Language Proficiency IELTS/LCATP: $400CAD (if applicable)
  • Teaching Certificate: 300-500CAD


Be prepared for additional expenses such as: Regulatory Fee, Police Record, Post Secondary Transcripts Request Fees and etc.
